Waymo Partners with Las Vegas Raiders & Allegiant Stadium
This one isn't about home energy upgrades, but here's the news: Waymo, the self-driving car service, has become the official autonomous ride-hailing partner of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium. It's the first partnership of its kind between a pro football team and a self-driving car company.
Starting this season, fans heading to games, concerts, or other events at the stadium can use the Waymo app to book a ride in one of its driverless cars. The stadium will have a dedicated pickup and drop-off area with signage to guide riders. The companies are also adding some fan perks, including a VIP upgrade for one rider at every home game and a program letting local kids step onto the field.
There's nothing here about home energy efficiency, insulation, heat pumps, or rebates. It's a transportation and entertainment announcement tied to sports and self-driving cars in Las Vegas, not a change to any energy program or incentive that would affect your house. If you're a Raiders fan curious about getting to Allegiant Stadium without driving yourself, this is worth knowing. If you're looking for ways to cut your home energy costs, this particular news doesn't apply.
