Volunteer at the 2026 National Conference & Trade Show
This news is about an industry conference, not a program that directly affects your home, but it's worth knowing about if you're deeply into energy-efficiency topics or work with contractors in this space. The 2026 National Home Performance Conference and Trade Show is happening April 13-16, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio, and organizers are looking for volunteers to help run it.
Volunteers, called session assistants, help introduce speakers, track who attends each session, assist with timing and setup, and stay in the room to help attendees during talks. In exchange, volunteers get free registration, which covers the general session, the exhibit hall, all education sessions, meals, receptions, and continuing education credits. Lodging is not included, and volunteers are expected to attend every day of the conference and stay with their assigned track of sessions throughout.
This conference draws people who work in home performance and weatherization (upgrades that seal air leaks and improve insulation), so it is really aimed at industry professionals rather than someone simply curious about upgrading their own house. If you want more information on volunteering, the contact is Bethany Dittmar Sowinski, Director of Education & Events, at [email protected].
