The Genesis GV90 has a clever trick: A pop-up 24.6″ theater [Video]
This one is off topic for home energy upgrades, but here's what it covers: Genesis unveiled its new electric SUV, the GV90, with a pop-up display that turns the cabin into a small movie theater. The screen measures 23.6 inches while driving and expands to 24.6 inches when the vehicle is parked, switching into what Genesis calls Media Home mode for watching Netflix, live TV, or streaming music. It's paired with a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system with Dolby Atmos.
The GV90 also introduces Genesis's new Pleos Connect infotainment system, which includes an AI assistant called Gleo that can answer questions or search the web, plus a 25-inch head-up display that projects speed and navigation onto the windshield. The SUV comes in two versions: one with coach-style doors (no center pillar) called the Neolun, and a standard version with regular doors.
On the power side, the GV90 runs a 123.5 kWh battery, the largest in Hyundai Motor Group's electric lineup, with an estimated range of about 310 miles for the seven-seat version. It's larger than the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Kia EV9, measuring over 17 feet long.
None of this affects home energy upgrades or rebate programs. If you're weighing an EV purchase alongside home electrification plans, the relevant detail here is simply battery size and range, since a bigger EV battery can factor into decisions about home charging equipment, but this article doesn't address charging setup or costs.
