The 2027 Toyota bZ is now on sale: Here’s how much it costs
Toyota's electric SUV, the bZ, is getting a 2027 update with prices staying about the same as last year. In the US, it starts at $34,980 (about $36,576 with delivery fees) for the base XLE front-wheel-drive model, which gets an EPA-estimated range of 236 miles. Paying more moves you up to longer range and more power: a Plus version reaching 314 miles, all-wheel-drive options with up to 338 horsepower, and a Limited trim with extras like 20-inch wheels, a moonroof, heated rear seats, and a digital rearview mirror. All models come with a NACS charge port built in, meaning owners can plug into Tesla Superchargers without needing an adapter, plus battery preconditioning for better cold-weather charging and a "Plug & Charge" feature that simplifies payment at charging stations.
For anyone cross-shopping electric vehicles, this is mostly a story about incremental improvement rather than a big leap. The bZ was already one of the best-selling EVs in the US for the first half of this year, and the changes for 2027 are modest tweaks to features and pricing rather than a redesign. The new models start arriving at US dealerships in September. In Canada, the bZ starts at CA$45,985, with all-wheel-drive and Limited versions running higher.
None of this points to a specific rebate or incentive tied to your home, but if you're weighing an EV purchase alongside home charging setup or upgrades, the bZ's pricing and range numbers give a useful benchmark for comparison against other electric SUVs on the market.
