Tesla grows Robotaxi fleet by 50%, Einride gets a partner, and China goes BIG
This news is about electric vehicles and autonomous trucking, not home energy upgrades, so there is nothing here for a homeowner to act on. It covers Tesla's self-driving "Robotaxi" fleet, a company called Einride that runs self-driving electric trucks, and large-scale autonomous mining trucks in China.
Specifically, Nevada regulators capped Tesla's robotaxi fleet in Las Vegas at 10 vehicles, far below the 5,000 Tesla had requested. Separately, truck maker PACCAR's DAF brand is adding Einride's self-driving technology to its electric trucks, and Einride's automated trucks are already running in Ohio and in Europe. The piece also points to China, where thousands of fully autonomous heavy-haul trucks are already working in mines, including a 350-ton electric mining rig from a company called Longking.
None of this touches home heating, cooling, insulation, or rebate programs, so it does not change anything about planning upgrades to your own house.
