RE+ 26 survival guide: What every attendee needs to know before heading to Las Vegas

September 9, 2026 · PV Magazine USA · Score: 35

This news is about RE+, a large solar and renewable energy trade show, not something that directly changes what's available to homeowners. But it's worth knowing about if you follow energy industry trends, since events like this are where companies announce new products and rebate programs.

The show is moving from its usual September slot to November this year, and moving venues to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Organizers say the change avoids the worst of Vegas heat (September highs average 96 degrees, versus 70 in November) and gives the event more room to grow. The same week, Formula 1 racing will be happening in Las Vegas, but organizers say the convention center is far enough from the race track that it shouldn't cause problems for attendees, aside from possible travel delays getting to the airport on the last day.

Other changes include separating the educational sessions (Monday through Wednesday) from the exhibit hall (Tuesday through Thursday), so attendees aren't choosing between the two at the same time. The show is also adding a partnership with a fleet and transportation event, and moving its networking party onto the convention center grounds instead of an offsite location.

None of this changes any rebate, incentive, or program that affects your home directly. It's simply industry logistics for the people who attend the show each year, and the kind of event where new products or technology might get introduced.
