Nominations for Annual Women in HVACR Awards

July 23, 2026 · ACHR News · Score: 23

This is industry news with no direct impact on homeowners or their heating and cooling systems. Women in HVACR, a nonprofit supporting women who work in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) trades, is taking nominations for two award programs: the Pillar Awards and the Women to Watch recognition. Nominations are open through August 10, and nominees must be active members of the organization.

The Pillar Awards will go to three members for excellence in mentorship, education, or building professional networks within the industry. The Women to Watch program will recognize women in five areas: technician leadership, manufacturer leadership, vendor and distribution leadership, office and operations leadership, and advocacy. Winners will be announced at the group's annual conference, called Built for Speed, running September 27 through 29 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis.

For a homeowner, this doesn't change anything about your heating or cooling system, your bills, or available rebates. It's simply a trade association recognizing people who work in the field that installs and services the equipment in your home, such as furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps. If you're curious about the broader HVACR workforce or industry trends, this points to the kind of organizations that support technicians and other professionals, but it has no bearing on any upgrade or repair decisions for your own house.
