Lynk & Co Chooses Volvo Cars As Exclusive European Distributor
Lynk & Co, an electric and plug-in hybrid car brand owned by China's Geely, has struck a deal to have Volvo Cars (also owned by Geely) become its exclusive distributor across Europe starting in January 2027. Lynk & Co currently sells in 25 European countries through more than 140 partner-operated sales points, and this new arrangement will route its cars through Volvo's dealer and service network instead.
For homeowners, this is car industry news rather than anything tied to home energy upgrades or rebates. The practical effect, if you're in Europe, is that Lynk & Co vehicles should become easier to find and service, since they'll be sold through Volvo's established dealerships rather than a smaller standalone network. Volvo is a well-known, trusted brand in Europe, so this move is likely meant to make Lynk & Co look more like a premium option and boost its sales.
There's no rebate, incentive, or program change here for households to act on. It's simply a business restructuring between two companies under the same parent group, aimed at expanding Lynk & Co's reach in the European market. If you're considering an EV purchase in Europe down the line, it may be worth knowing that Lynk & Co cars will eventually be sold and serviced at Volvo locations, but nothing changes immediately, and the shift doesn't take effect until 2027.
