Kia launches three new electric GT vehicles: Meet the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT

September 7, 2026 · Electrek · Score: 12

Kia has rolled out three new performance versions of its electric SUVs and hatchbacks: the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT. These join Kia's existing electric GT lineup, the EV6 GT and three-row EV9 GT. All three new models use dual motors for all-wheel drive, a larger 81.4 kWh battery, and sport-tuned suspension for quicker acceleration and sharper handling than the standard versions of these vehicles.

The EV3 GT hits 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds with up to 311 miles of range. The EV4 GT, sold as either a hatchback or fastback, does the same sprint in 5.6 seconds and offers up to 333 miles of range depending on body style. The EV5 GT, an SUV, reaches 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds with up to 295 miles of range. In Germany, prices start around $62,500 for the EV3 GT, $67,000 for the EV4 GT, and $69,500 for the EV5 GT.

For US homeowners, the relevant detail is narrower: only the EV3 GT is coming to America, starting at $45,890 with an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles. The EV4 GT and EV5 GT are not planned for US sale. If you're weighing an EV purchase alongside home charging upgrades, this model is a higher-performance, higher-price version of the regular EV3, not a new category of vehicle, so charging needs at home would be similar to other EVs with comparable battery size and range.
