Kia is offering big discounts on the EV9, with over $15,000 off at some dealers
Kia is offering steep discounts on its EV9 electric SUV, with some dealers knocking more than $15,000 off the sticker price. The 2026 EV9 starts at $54,900, and Kia's website lists a nationwide $10,000 discount this month. But some dealers are going further: one Texas dealer cut $16,041 off the base Light Short Range trim, bringing it down to about $40,500, and an Illinois dealer offered $15,000 off both the Short Range and Long Range versions, pricing them at roughly $42,858 and $45,163. The Long Range model gets up to 305 miles on a charge, versus 230 miles for the Short Range.
These deals come after the federal $7,500 EV tax credit expired last September, which has hurt sales of many electric vehicles. The EV9 has actually sold better this year than last, but automakers are stepping in with their own cash incentives to keep buyers interested now that the federal credit is gone. Kia is also offering 0% financing for 60 months plus a $5,000 bonus cash discount on top of these deals.
If you're considering an electric three-row SUV, it's worth checking with dealers near you, since discounts vary widely by location and aren't guaranteed everywhere. Kia's smaller EV3 SUV is also on sale now, starting at $29,890, for anyone who doesn't need the extra rows of seating.
