E-quipment highlight: wreck stuff anywhere with CASE TL100EV [video]
This one is about commercial construction equipment, not something a homeowner would rent or buy for a house project. CASE has released a new electric mini track loader, the TL100EV, aimed at contractors doing demolition and site work in places where gas or diesel equipment can't go — indoors, in areas with strict emissions rules, or where noise and fumes are a problem. The company recently shared a video showing the machine driving through hallways, doorways, and even an elevator, something a diesel-powered loader couldn't do without filling a building with exhaust.
The machine runs on a battery pack that powers three electric motors — two for the tracks and one for the hydraulics — and CASE says it can lift up to 1,000 pounds while working as a loader, lifter, and attachment carrier all in one. It's built to use the same attachments crews already have for their diesel equipment, so contractors don't need to buy new tools to switch over.
For a homeowner, this doesn't translate into a purchase or rebate decision. It's more a sign of where construction equipment is headed: quieter, cleaner machines that can work inside homes or tight urban lots without the noise and exhaust of traditional gear. If you're planning a renovation or addition that involves demolition, it's possible a contractor doing that work could eventually use equipment like this, but there's no direct action or program tied to it for your own house right now.
