BLUETTI Launches New Energy Solutions for Work, Home, & Life on the Move at IFA 2026

September 11, 2026 · CleanTechnica · Score: 23

Battery maker BLUETTI announced several new products at the IFA 2026 electronics show, aimed at getting more use out of portable power stations at home, on the road, and at job sites.

The one most relevant to homeowners is the Balco 500, part of a European trend called "Balkonkraftwerk," or balcony solar — small, plug-in solar setups that don't require a full rooftop install. It pairs a 5,024 Wh battery with up to 4,600 W of solar input and sends 800 to 3,680 W into the home depending on setup. It's rated for 8,000 charge cycles, carries a 10-year warranty, and weighs about 139 pounds. A companion system called EnergyFlex lets a compatible power station connect to a home through a "Transfer Hub," storing solar or cheap grid power for later and working with smart home apps like Amazon Alexa and Google Home. One caveat: these products are built around 230-volt European electrical systems, so they aren't a plug-and-play fit for standard US wall outlets.

BLUETTI also previewed smaller portable batteries (the Elite mini series, from 288 Wh to 2,010 Wh) for camping or backup power, and a larger 5,000W battery-based generator aimed at construction sites rather than homes. The Balco 500 and the smallest Elite mini model are expected in November 2026, with the other Elite models following in January 2027 and the job-site generator in early 2027. Nothing here involves a rebate or incentive program — it's simply new hardware entering the market, most directly relevant to European apartment dwellers interested in small-scale balcony solar.
