ABMA Names Shaunica Jayson Interim President & CEO
This is an industry association update rather than news that affects your own home or upgrade plans directly. The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA), a trade group for companies that make commercial and industrial boilers, has named Shaunica Jayson as interim president and CEO. She takes over after Scott Lynch stepped down following 12 years leading the organization.
Jayson has worked at ABMA for more than nine years and has the backing of the association's board as it manages the leadership change. In her first message to members, she said she's focused on stability and looking for ways to improve how the association operates and supports its member companies, which make boilers and related equipment used in hospitals, schools, factories, and power plants. ABMA, founded in 1888, says it is the oldest continuous trade group in the country.
The association's executive committee is now working on a process to find a permanent president and CEO, taking into account the industry's needs and future direction. ABMA says its staff and day-to-day work will continue without interruption during the transition.
For homeowners, this is background on who runs a manufacturing trade group, not a change to any rebate program, equipment standard, or incentive. It has no direct bearing on boiler purchases, installations, or efficiency upgrades at the household level.
